1. Overview
This Refund Policy covers two separate categories of transactions:
- RestauMate SaaS Subscriptions — fees paid to RestauMate for platform access
- Restaurant Food Orders — payments made by customers to restaurants through RestauMate-powered ordering pages
These are handled separately as described below.
2. SaaS Subscription Refunds
Monthly Plans: Monthly subscription fees are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time and will retain access until the end of your current billing period.
Annual Plans: Annual subscriptions may be eligible for a pro-rated refund within the first 30 days of the annual term. After 30 days annual subscriptions are non-refundable. Contact support@restaumate.com to request an annual plan refund.
Free Trial: No charge is made during the 14-day trial period for eligible plans. If you cancel before the trial ends you will not be charged. Trial eligibility is limited to first-time accounts.
Platform Fees: Per-order platform fees (5% for Starter, 3% for Pro+) are non-refundable as they correspond to orders already processed.
Exceptions: We may issue refunds at our discretion for documented technical failures that prevented use of the platform. Contact support with details.
3. Restaurant Food Order Refunds
RestauMate is a technology platform that facilitates transactions between customers and restaurants. RestauMate is not a party to food orders and does not control restaurant refund decisions.
For refunds on food orders:
- Contact the restaurant directly as they control their own refund policy
- Each restaurant sets their own refund and cancellation terms
- Restaurant contact information is available on their ordering page and in your order confirmation email
If a restaurant is unresponsive to a legitimate refund dispute, you may dispute the charge with your bank or credit card issuer under standard consumer protection rules.
4. Stripe Payment Disputes
All payments are processed through Stripe. Chargebacks and payment disputes are handled according to Stripe’s dispute process and applicable card network rules.
For SaaS subscription disputes: Contact us at support@restaumate.com before initiating a chargeback. We will work to resolve billing issues promptly.
For food order disputes: Chargebacks for food orders are between the cardholder, the restaurant, and Stripe. RestauMate cooperates with Stripe’s dispute resolution process by providing transaction records.
5. Account Cancellation
Cancel your subscription at any time in Dashboard → Billing → Cancel Plan. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period.
After cancellation:
- Your ordering page will be deactivated
- You can export your customer data for 90 days
- Data is retained for 90 days then deleted per our Privacy Policy
